About Sóller

HERE YOU EXPERIENCE THE BEST MALLORCA VIBES

One of the most attractive and surprising islands in the Mediterranean is just a two-hour flight from most North-Western European airports. Mallorca has much more to offer than the well-know sandy beaches. You’ll be pleasantly surprised. The North-Western coast is impressive with the mountain range “Sierra de Tramuntana”. The cliffs rise up sharply from sea level to real mountains up to 1500 meters. In these mountains you will find hidden gems, little ancient villages, monasteries, overwhelming nature and extraordinary vistas. Whether you visit the art village of Deia, the monastery of Valdemossa or the Sa Calobra ravine you will be amazed to find so much beauty on this sunny island. It looks like modern time has skipped the area and since Unesco has appointed the Tramunta Mountains as a World Heritage site it will stay this way far into the future. Sóller and the valley of Sóller are centrally located in the Tramunta and is surrounded by orange groves. With vibrant Palma only 30 minutes away.

EDITERRANEAN VILLAGE-SQUARE AND LIVELY PORT

Over 900 years ago the local farmers decided to build the town 3 km inland to protect it from Moorish Conquerors. Here you will find the central town square guarded by the towering cathedral from the 12th century. Locals as well as tourist frequent the many terraces on the square and it is a great place to enjoy a coffee or a drink. Sóller is connected by a historic tramway from 1903 to the port town of Port de Sóller. The port has a beautiful natural horseshoe shaped bay with a pleasant sandy beach, a marina and the old fisherman’s quarter. The views from around the bay towards the Sierra de Tramuntana are unbelievable. The bay also offers a range of nice restaurants from Spanish paella to top notch restaurants. Port as well as Sóller are the starting point of many hiking and biking trails into the mountains and along the coast.
